How to Burn Fat and Keep It Off
If you are looking to make changes to your life, your body and burn fat fast you simply need to follow these simple tips. It isn’t impossible to make positive changes (which often mean a change in your mindset and attitude) to improve your health, as you may find it to be a fun challenge. Most important of all is to learn to keep the fat off for good, which will increase your chances of a longer and a healthier life.
Exercise
Exercise may sound obvious, but is essential for any real weight loss and fat burning. There are however some things to remember about exercising that will increase the fat burning process and will assist you in making long term lifestyle changes.
Exercise first thing in the morning. You already know you have to include exercise in order to lower body fat so make sure it is the first thing you do every day. Get out of bed, put on your sports gear, and go for it. Waking up a half hour earlier will make a world of a difference.
Exercising before eating allows your body to pull its resources together and burn the accumulated fat. This is because your body has spent the night burning up all the stored carbohydrates and has to use another energy source during your exercise routine. Believe it or not, a 30 minute walk is all it takes.
Once you get into the routine, some other cardio exercises and even weight resistance training can also be incorporated in your routine.
Eat Breakfast
After your 30 minutes of exercise it is important to eat a good healthy nutritious breakfast. Include lean protein, such as an egg white omelet and lean bacon. Include fruit and water with lemon, as it will give your body exactly what it needs to keep burning the fat. This will also contribute to a feeling of fullness, and it will prevent overeating.
Increase Fiber
Many people do have suffer from an inadequate intake of their daily fiber requirements. This is easy to change, simply eat some oatmeal.
Increase your intake of legumes and leafy greens. Try protein bars or shakes (which I have included many recipes in the “extra menus”) as they usually do have a high fiber content. Fiber is important because it assists your body in the fat burning process.
Eat Your Fruits and Veggies
You do already know this, but fruits and vegetables do offer many nutritional benefits. Now you have another reason to eat them. Lots of fruits and vegetables are actually catabolic foods. Catabolic foods are foods that burn more calories than they even supply. In fact, when it comes to eating these foods, you can just forget about your calorie calculator, and eat to your heart’s content.
Some examples of these foods are:
- Raspberries
- Blackberries and blueberries
- Lemons and Limes
- Strawberries
- Cucumbers
- Tomatoes
- Artichokes
- Pineapple
- Oranges
- Broccoli
- Spinach
- Carrots
This is not a full list, but is a good sample of the foods you need to increase in your daily diet.
There are also some common sense changes that you will have to make in order to gain long-term results. You will have to say no to the high fat, sugary, and salty snacks. Keeping the fat off takes a lot of hard work and self discipline!
